The Pet-Bliss logo is made from pictures of my two dogs when
they were puppies and a friends kitten !
The main reasons behind this site are :
- To give people cheaper prices for
pet products than they would find in their local pet shops
- So that people that live in places where there is no pet shop can
have items delivered to their door
- Wider selection of pet products for animal lovers
- Rescue centres benefit from this site and we help to bring them much
needed items such as wormers, beds and toys - as most dogs that come
into rescues don't know how to play
- Most of our pet products are sent out in boxes that are recycled,
thus helping the environment.

For years now, I have been helping out with Animal Rescue Centres in
Ireland. I have always had a love of animals, but could never find a
job working with them. As I have over 8 years of computer experience, I
decided that I could tie in my two greatest loves - animals and
computers, so here it is - my pet shop for pet supplies and pet
products on the internet !

Two of my Dog Rehabilitation Cases
:
Dolly was a Boxer which I rescued from the pound - I took her home just
before she was about to be put to sleep. She was in a terrible state!
She had septic eye that she could barely see out of, she had just had a
litter of pups and was still milking - no sign of the puppies. The vet
believed she had come from a puppy farm and was dumped because she had
done her job of giving birth to puppies and because her eye was in such
bad condition, she had ear mites and fleas. Unfortunately, she had to
have her eye removed because the infection was so bad and there was no
eye to save. Luckily after being nursed back to health, she found a
wonderful home with another boxer friend !
Lady was an English Setter - which I also rescued the day she was
getting put down. This little girl was in a really bad state. She had 6
huge tumours on her body, one so large under her back leg that she
could hardly walk. She had also just had a litter of puppies -
apparantely the 7th litter in her life. She was skinny and so sad - it
took her 3 weeks in my house to bark for the first time... But even
after all her pain and suffering - it was still not a problem to wag
her tail at you and lick you till your skin licked right off ! After
surgery to remove the lumps and weeks of special diets, this little
girl also had a happy ending and went to the best home that she could
have ever wished for - acres of land, friends and two devoted
owners.... !
Sadly
Lady passed away 24th March
2005. Here is what her owners had to say :
"Lady
came to live with
us on June 5th 2004. Lyndsey and Dave travelled all the way from Dublin
to
Cumbria. Lyndsey told me that Lady travelled beautifully. That was so
like Lady,
she never ever made a fuss about anything.
Good health and time were not to be on Lady's side. Although she had
many
mammary lumps removed before she came to us - more lumps soon started
to grow,
We had two more of these removed, but then something I have never seen
before
happened. Her body began to form lumps all over. She had Mast Cell
Cancer. With
medication we kept her happy and comfortable for another 5 months. In
this time,
she did what she loved the most enjoyed her food, went for her walks,
chased
Barnum my white cat (she picked on him - because he picks on the other
cats).
This was Lady, taking him down a peg or two! She was never ever cruel,
she just
gave him a 'run' for his money!
If she heard some of the feral cats at night singing and calling, Lady
would
bark the house down until we came down and let her go out to see 'who
was out
there'! She would run down the drive to the gate, give one 'bark' and
then come
back in, and jump straight back on her bed. Her face would say 'job
well done'!
We had to put a padlock on the cat house because she was always trying
to get in
there and steal the cat food... she would even stick her head through
the cat
flap and see if she could reach the food that way.
Her last day was one of lots of her favourite food and treats.
All in all she was a real little trooper.
My only (our only) regret is that we did not have Lady for longer...she
deserved
a longer and happier life.
My thanks to Lyndsey and everyone else who thought she was worth
saving. Believe
me - she was - and we miss her dreadfully.
Thank You
Coleen"

We
noticed the interest created when we introduced
Pink and Blue Puffa Jackets onto our site. We realised that in Ireland
anyway, there really isn't many places to buy your best friend really
special things. Pet shops only carry basic ranges and people want more
than this....
After researching, we decided to introduce a special range into Ireland and at
the same time become exclusive distributor in Ireland for designer dog clothing
and accessories.
2007
We have made many changes since the company
started and are continually improving our services and ranges.
We have introduced the following where you can earn
money from us :
-
Puppy
Parties
- Affiliate
programs (earn money if you own your own website)
- Refer a Friend Program
We have also introduced Makeovers
for dogs, bad dogs section and there is lots lots more to come... so keep
watching this space !
We always love to hear from our visitors, so feel
free to use our contact page and tell us what you think of our site.
