Burns is hypo-allergenic. This means it contains no dairy products, wheat, soya or beef. These are the ingredients which may cause some food allergies in pets, bringing digestive tract, skin, coat and other problems.
It is also suitable for use where holistic veterinary treatment is being used in the nutritional management of disease.
Burns High Oats has been developed by John Burns as a natural and Holistic Diet particularly for dogs which are overweight, although it can be used as a maintenace diet for dogs of all ages.
The high natural fibre content allows for a low level of rapid glucose releasing carbohydrates, and the food has a low energy density.

Feeding Guide
Daily amounts based upon body weight:
1-5kg (25-50g), 5-10kg (50-100g), 10-20kg (100-200g), 20-30kg (200-300g), 30-40kg (300-400g), 40-50kg (400-450g).
Requirements depend on level of exercise, age and breed.
For weight control, feed according to target weight, not actual weight.
